The National Union of Students (NUS) is a voluntary membership organisation which makes a real difference to the lives of students and its member students' unions. NUS  promote, defend and extend the rights of students and develop and champion strong students’ unions.

A confederation of 600 students' unions, amounting to more than 95 per cent of all higher and further education unions in the UK. NUS represent the interests of more than seven million students.

The Association of Colleges (AoC) is the national voice for colleges and exists to promote and support their interests. Everything AoC does is aimed at helping colleges deliver their purpose and to make an impact.

AoC believe that every community should be supported by a strong and successful college, which develops students, delivers relevant skills, and supports stronger communities, social justice, employers and the economy.

In partnership with the National Union of Students, Association of Colleges is looking to bring together individuals, organisations from across the UK, and politicians of all parties, who believe that democracy should be open and fair.

The Votes at 16 Coalition campaigns for 16 and 17 year olds to be able to vote in all UK public elections.

Launched in 2003, the coalition is made up of young people, organisations and politicians who believe the voting age should be lowered to 16.
