George Osborne calls for Votes at 16 (The Times)

George Osborne, the former chancellor, has called on the government to lower the voting age to 16 or risk losing the support of younger generations.

An editorial column in yesterday’s London Evening Standard, the newspaper edited by Mr Osborne, warned that cross-party calls for the vote to be extended to 16 and 17-year-olds had become “unstoppable”.
